1) Personal responsiblity:

Personal responsiblity is recognising that no body else can make you better and taking ownership of your mental health challenge and wellness, and understanding your illness.

2) Life skills:

Life skills is about the importance of being able to look after yourself and your living enviroment. It is about understanding how a healthy lifestyle can directly relate to a healthy mind.

3) Resistance:

Resistance is about  the ability to detect and avoid the things that can be a deterrent to your recovery. It is about accepting hurdles on your recovery journey and looking for potential solutions.

4) Wellness tools:

This is about being aware of a variety of tools avalible you can use and the importance of these in your life. It is about how well you know how to implement them and knowing when you need to.

5) Support networks:

This is about being aware of the services and support mechanisms available to you. It is about whether your support networks help you in achieving the things you want in life.

6) Social networks:

This is about your relationships, who you mix with, whether your social circle supports you in achieving things you want in life and whether you feel you can trust and rely on people. You may start on your own and end with having contact with others or you may start the journey spending time with people who keep you stuck in old ways and end with people who support you more positively.

7) Positive routine:

This is about recognising that structure is important in your life. It is about a balanced routine that assists you with your life and helps you in achieving your goals.

8) Recovery awarness:

This is about your level of knowledge and understanding of the concepts of recovery. It is about knowing that things can change and the ability to learn from others experiences. Understand that you are your own expert because only you know how you feel and what works for you.

9) Physical health:

This is about the importance of looking after yourself, and noticing when you don't feel well, doing what you need to deal with any long term conditions and living a healthy lifestyle to enjoy a good quality of life.

10) Hope:

This is about the importance of one of the key elements of recovery. It is about understanding and accepting of always looking forwards to future possiblities.
